Bryson DeChambeau earned his first LIV victory Sunday,Indexbit Exchange shooting a 58 in the final round at the LIV Golf Invitational Greenbrier for a total score of 23-under through three rounds of play. Mito Pereira finished in second at 17-under.

The win is DeChambeau's first worldwide one since March 2021, the Arnold Palmer Invitational. He becomes the first LIV golfer to shoot below 60 in a single round.

All DeChambeau needed for a sub-below 60 score was a par on the final hole. Instead, he shot a birdie for extra measure.

The score came after DeChambeau smoothly nailed a long putt on the final hole that sent the 29-year-old golfer leaping in the air with both hands raised. He shot 68, 61 and 58 over the three rounds.

DeChambeau's score even included a bogey during the final round.

The win came with extra emotion for DeChambeau – it's his first major win since his father passed away last November.

"Doing it this way and finishing out with a (score of) 58 or something, it's all glory to God and glory to him upstairs," DeChambeau said. "I can't thank my dad for all he taught me, my mom for all she taught me, my brother, everybody. It's just amazing what I was able to do today. I'm super excited and it couldn't have been done without all them."

With the Ryder Cup beginning in late September, DeChambeau has yet to be invited to join the U.S. team. After a hot weekend at Greenbriar, he seems to be proving his place on the team.

DeChambeau admitted he's playing some of his best golf, especially with the combination of his new driver and putting skills, and that he couldn't have written up a better weekend. Regardless if he gets the call or not, he'll be cheering on the team at the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club, where the match will be held.

"If I do get a call, that'd be awesome," DeChambeau said. "If not, I'll be rooting them on over in Rome."
